Nanga Bush Camp Wedding | Sarah & Steve
The Nanga Bush Camp wedding of Sarah and Steve, was a 1920s ‘The Great Gatsby’ inspired event. Nanga bush camp in Dwellingup is a fantastic location amongst the jarrah forest, with the Murray River close by. The facilities at Nanga Bush Camp are well laid out and really set the place off as the ideal bush location for a wedding.
The large dorms provide the best possible combination of wedding venue and overnight accommodation for all the guests, all rolled into one. This peaceful and tranquil setting is just perfect for couples who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and celebrate their wedding in the peace and quiet of the jarrah forest.
Sarah and Steve first met while working at the Carosue Dam gold mine, just out of Kalgoorlie. They have now been together for approx. 6 years. They enjoy relaxing in the great outdoors and are also keen travellers.
Tiffanys did the girls’ hair, while Abie Mac did their makeup.
Sarah’s dress came from Raffinato Bridal.
Their wedding was a 1920s The Great Gatsby theme and all the guests were dressed in their finest examples of this wonderful era. The groom and his groomsmen looked the part in their black suits, pinstriped waistcoats and their top hats.
The wedding car wasn’t from the 1920s, but the couple’s 1967 Chevrolet Impala certainly looked right at home.
It was a proud moment for Sarah’s father as he walked her down the aisle.
Dilhari from Kiss Me You Fool performed the ceremony and made everyone feel at ease during the formalities.
The group photos and family photos reveal the clothing from the Great Gatsby era.
After the group and family photos, the bridal party had some fun with the Impala on the 1 lane bridge near the Nanga Bush Camp.
I really enjoy the quiet moments between the newlyweds, where they finally get to spent some time alone.
Introducing the new Mr & Mrs.
WA Spit Roast catered for the reception and did a great job….the food was amazing.
Wedding speeches can make you laugh and make you cry. Some of the stories that came out during the speeches were hilarious.
A family member created this stunning wedding cake….complete with figurines featuring a horse and unicorn.
The first dance is always a special moment for every couple.
Sparklers are fun!
Sarah and Steve plan to honeymoon in Koh Samui.
